About the Role: Organic Farm Worker

In this hands-on role, you will be integral to daily operations within our eco-conscious cooperative, supporting the cultivation of premium, certified organic produce in the scenic Alentejo region.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute core farming tasks including planting, pruning, and harvesting a variety of organic crops.
  • Safely operate and maintain basic agricultural tools and equipment.
  • Conduct regular monitoring of soil health and promptly report any crop issues or irregularities.
  • Perform daily irrigation system checks and contribute to overall field upkeep.
  • Adhere strictly to all organic certification protocols and internal cooperative standards.
  • Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety across all work areas.

Candidate Requirements

  • Prior experience in farming, agriculture, or similar outdoor physical roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
  • Resilience and adaptability to work effectively in diverse weather conditions.
  • Genuine passion for sustainable practices and alignment with cooperative principles.
  • Basic proficiency in Portuguese is beneficial for team integration.
