About the Role: Organic Farm Worker
Join Agrios Verde as a dedicated Organic Farm Worker and contribute to the heart of our sustainable agriculture mission. In this hands-on role, you will be integral to daily operations within our eco-conscious cooperative, supporting the cultivation of premium, certified organic produce in the scenic Alentejo region.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute core farming tasks including planting, pruning, and harvesting a variety of organic crops.
- Safely operate and maintain basic agricultural tools and equipment.
- Conduct regular monitoring of soil health and promptly report any crop issues or irregularities.
- Perform daily irrigation system checks and contribute to overall field upkeep.
- Adhere strictly to all organic certification protocols and internal cooperative standards.
- Uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety across all work areas.
Candidate Requirements
- Prior experience in farming, agriculture, or similar outdoor physical roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated ability to handle physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
- Resilience and adaptability to work effectively in diverse weather conditions.
- Genuine passion for sustainable practices and alignment with cooperative principles.
- Basic proficiency in Portuguese is beneficial for team integration.
